This single malt whiskey is initially matured in American oak bourbon casks before being finished in rare Mizunara oak casks from Hokkaidō, Japan. The Mizunara wood imparts unique flavors of sandalwood, orange zest, vanilla pod, and milk chocolate on the nose. The palate reveals chocolatey notes, toasted cinnamon, five-spice, juicy apricot, and nectarine, culminating in a finish of flaky pastry, brown sugar, lemon peel, and anise.
