This limited edition release pays homage to the ancient Celtic festivity of Lúnasa, marking the onset of the harvest season and honoring the mother of Lugh, an Irish deity, who legend has it perished from exhaustion after tending to Ireland’s fields. Lúnasa Single Malt, matured initially in Bourbon casks and enriched with a Widow Jane Bourbon cask finish, exudes enticing aromas of ripe red berries, warm salted caramel, zesty lemon sherbet, and creamy butter fudge. Its palate delights with nuances of barley sugar intertwined with a subtle hint of spice, complemented by undertones of dark chocolate mingled with raspberries, while ginger and spice bestow a comforting warmth, ultimately revealing lingering traces of dark fruits and caramel. This expression embodies the essence of single malt craftsmanship with an ABV of 50.5%.
