This exclusive release pays tribute to the ancient Celtic observance of Grianstad an Gheimhridh, the winter solstice, where “Grianstad” signifies “the stopping of the sun,” encapsulating a time when darkness prevails. Dingle Grianstad an Gheimhridh Single Malt, aged initially in former Bourbon casks and enriched with a Tawny Port cask finish, evokes enticing fragrances of blackcurrant jelly, pomegranate, cinnamon toast, and warm ginger. Its palate unfolds with hints of red berry fruits and dark chocolate, accented by the comforting presence of warm cloves and velvety soft fudge, while the spice-imbued finish gently subsides, leaving behind a lingering sweetness on the palate. This expression epitomizes the artistry of single malt whisky, boasting an ABV of 50.5%.
