This is Copeland’s inaugural single malt, fully distilled, matured, and bottled in Donaghadee, County Down—a significant milestone marking the distillery’s first-ever home-grown malt release. Sourced exclusively from a single first-fill American bourbon barrel (Cask 001), it was bottled at a full-bodied 46% ABV, with only 800 bottles released globally. Tasting notes reveal a fresh, sweet and slightly oily nose with orange bitters, oak shavings and vanilla butter cream, leading to a palate brimming with lightly toasted coconut, with oak tannins, a tiny hint of citrus, cocoa powder & clove spice, culminating in a warm, sweet, medium lasting finish with a unique touch of dry dark chocolate and nutmeg.
