Distilled in 1978, this exceptional whiskey matured exclusively in two oloroso sherry butts sourced from the Antonio Paez Lobato Cooperage in Jerez, Spain. Over nearly five decades, it developed a deep mahogany hue and complex aromas of ripe dark fruits, sweet apricot, caramel, and warm oak. The palate unfolds with rich spices such as cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg, leading to flavors of black cherries, sun-dried raisins, plums, and roasted coffee. The finish is smooth yet robust, with lingering spiced fruit and gentle oak notes. This limited edition is bottled at cask strength of 46.3% ABV, with only 300 individually numbered bottles available worldwide, 100 of which are allocated to the U.S. The presentation includes a bespoke hexagonal walnut case, reflecting the topography of the River Bush and the distillery’s surrounding landscape.
