Copeland Distillery

Copeland Distillery, located in the coastal town of Donaghadee, County Down, was founded in 2016 by Gareth Irvine, who raised £30,000 through crowdfunding to bring his vision to life. The distillery officially opened its doors in 2019, revitalizing a former cinema and bottling plant into a 6,500 sq. ft. facility dedicated to crafting spirits that reflect the area’s rich maritime history. Copeland produces a diverse range of spirits, including award-winning gins, innovative rums, and a variety of whiskeys, all inspired by local heritage and utilizing botanicals sourced from the surrounding region. With a commitment to taste, innovation, heritage, and community, Copeland Distillery offers visitors immersive tours and tastings, providing insight into their unique production processes and the stories behind their spirits.
