Canadian Club is a popular, light, and smooth Canadian blended whisky known for its mixability, with notes of vanilla, light spice, and oak, often enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in cocktails like a Whisky Sour. Created by Hiram Walker in 1858 in Walkerville, Ontario, it became famous as “Club Whisky” in gentlemen’s clubs and gained international popularity, especially during U.S. Prohibition. It’s made from a blend of corn, rye, and barley distillates, aged in white oak barrels, and is available in various expressions, including a 12-year-old.
